The sealing lip provides a leakproof seal against pressurised fluids. Bonded seals are for sealing hydraulic fittings, pipe joints or under the head of bolts. A normal bonded seal is good for low pressure but if your application is of high pressure, contact us as we will design a very close tolerance recess for your bonded seal. Our current high pressure bonded seal can withstand a pressure of up to 1500 bar.

We can make the elastomer on the bonded seal using traditional materials such as

• Nitrile,
• EPDM,
• fluorocarbon,
• silicone,
• flurorosilicone,
• Aflas,
• or you specify one and we will formulate a material for you in our laboratory.

We can make the metal part of the bonded seal using stainless steel for marine and underwater vehicles, or other common metals such as coated mild steel, aluminium-bronze or brass. Our imperial size bonded seals are suitable for thread diameters from 1/4 inch up to 2-1/2 inch, and for metric size from 4 mm up to 127 mm. Even larger sizes bonded seal can also be made if specially requested by you. 

It is very common in the market to offer hydraulic cylinder seals for pneumatic applications. However, here at Advanced Sealing Devices, we don’t do that as we understand the mechanism of sealing pneumatic system throughly and we will make seals for you that are specially designed for this type of application

Hydraulic Seals (or reciprocating seals) cover a wide range of applications including brake cylinders, mobile, earthmoving and agricultural equipments, industrial production machines such as presses, injection moulding and rolling mills, and very large cylinders in areas such as the marine industry. 

The selection of a particular hydraulic seal type is very important as it not only depend on the duty but also on the operating environment. We can make self-energizing elastomer or plastic seals for your high and low pressure hydraulic applications. The sealing pressure of a typical hydraulic seal is about 5000psi. With our design, we can extend this pressure to 10 000 psi (ASD 10k series), 12 000psi (ASD 12k series) and even up to 100 000 psi (ASD 100k series) for highly specialised application.

Our hydraulic seals have the capability to provide low dynamic leakage and positive static sealing. Hydraulic seals rely on the compression in the groove to provide an initial sealing force. We can optimize the static and dynamic geometry to ensure you can obtain an optimum seal installatio
